Our connection with Africa began after a transformative journey to Botswana in 2015, the country that inspired our production company’s name. Dumela, which means “Hello” in Setswana, symbolizes our invitation to connect with the art of storytelling. The giraffe in our logo reaffirms our admiration for the African continent.
With the rise of artificial intelligence, we saw a unique opportunity to dive even deeper into this innovative world. Dumela: A Story to Tell is more than just an album; it is a musical journey that transcends borders.
Our album blends African-inspired themes, filled with tribal percussion, harmonic choirs, and cinematic atmospheres, with Latin and Brazilian influences. Each track is part of a greater story, designed to create a unique sensory and emotional experience.
This fusion of sounds reflects the spirit of connection between different cultures and the stories we want to share with our clients, partners, and everyone who ventures into our creative universe.

The creative process behind Dumela: A Story to Tell was designed to reflect not only the essence but also the identity of Dumela as a video production company.
From the very beginning, we focused on building a concept that merged our cultural influences—represented in our logo and visual identity—with impactful phrases and slogans that are part of our daily interactions with clients and partners.
Bill Szilagyi oversaw the entire music production of the album and composed each song, while Cris Szilagyi provided a meticulous review, ensuring that the lyrics and melodies embodied Dumela’s values and essence.
Artificial intelligence played a key role in this process, helping refine phonetics and rhymes in English while also adapting and translating sections into Setswana, a language deeply connected to our roots and the album’s concept. Despite the technological support, each composition carries the creative and emotional signature of Bill and Cris, ensuring a genuine connection to our origins.
Once the concept was established and the songs were composed, we used advanced AI tools to generate multiple melodic options, define harmonies, and create the necessary arrangements.
Each track was then processed through software that separates instruments into individual tracks – such as bass, drums, percussion, vocals, and strings. This allowed for precise adjustments, preparing the songs for the next stages.
Inside a professional DAW (Digital Audio Workstation), these tracks were edited, mixed, and mastered. The mixing process ensured balance between the sonic elements, while mastering enhanced each track’s richness across all streaming platforms. Our goal was to preserve the cultural and emotional essence of the music while delivering high technical quality.
